We have a very special kitten named Jasper looking for a home. What makes her so special? She has extra toes! Polydactyl cats often appear to have 'mittens' and were thought to be good luck by sailors long ago. They are sometimes referred to Hemingway cats after Ernest Hemingway's famous kitties still found in Key West. Polydactyl cats have a genetic mutation which is common in certain breeds and is typically harmless, as in Jasper's case. She is a normal, playful kitten in every other way!
