Maia (apx 5 y/o) is the sweetest dog who just wants to be loved.  Like a true GSD, she finds her 'person' and is truly devoted.  She spent her life as an outside dog prior to coming to rescue.  Thanks to her foster Mom's TLC, she is now potty & crate trained but much rather be in a dog bed next to your bed.  An owner who likes to snuggle is a must with this girl!  She is enjoying the company of her foster dog siblings, and chasing balls and squirrels in the yard.  She has not been cat or young kid tested while in her foster home and would do best with someone that worked from home or is retired, a yard to run around in & a quiet home since she can startle easily.

Maia is heartworm positive and has completed her first injection.  We are looking for a local family to adopt her so she can complete her treatment through the rescue.  Applicants must be within 1 hour of Gilberts, IL.
