1 year old Dewey has transformed from a scared, hurting boy, to a happy and affectionate companion. He once used to cower in fear of cats and now approaches them gently for kisses, tail wagging all the while! He is wonderful with other dogs, cats, and humans. He is unsure of new humans at first, but if they have treats he trusts that they are friends! He is amazing with his 9 and 12 year old foster kids and loves to be their best friend! An ideal family would have experience with shy dogs dogs. He is house trained, crate trained, and walks wonderfully on a leash. Car rides still make him nervous, but he is improving all the time. He is a big, sweet, cuddly, sensitive, teddy bear of a guy, and will be the most loyal companion a family could find. Just one big 50lb Dewey hug will be enough to steal your heart forever!
