Kane is a 1 year old, 53 lb, neutered male Boxer-Lab mix (DNA tested - see attached). He came to HWM Rescue  as an owner surrender because his family no longer had time for a dog. 

He’s an energetic and friendly guy, even with strangers, who needs an active household with an experienced dog owner or a family devoted to furthering Kane’s training. Because he has so much energy, there are no apartments or condos for Kane. He would love a fur sibling (medium to large size because he plays rough ) to help show him the ropes and burn off some energy.

He is crate trained and likes car rides. He did live with small children and loves kids. 

He’s working on basic commands, walking on leash and potty training and has made progress. To our knowledge he has not met any cats. Toys and bones are good, but he is very food motivated so treats are helpful with training. A fenced in yard would be great, but not a necessity as long as he gets plenty of exercise.

Kanes’s adoption fee is $400 - which includes core vaccinations (age appropriate), microchip & spay/neuter at one of our contracted vets (if applicable)
