Are you looking for a furry companion that does well at home while you're at work all day? Do you have a fenced-in-yard? If so, Katie may be a good fit. Katie is an approximately 3-year-old, probable Boxer mix (we do NOT DNA test). Katie does well with other foster/resident dogs in her foster home. She's potty-trained and crate-trained, but prefers to stretch out on the floor. She enjoys playing in the yard with other pups. Katie was fearful of everything and everyone when she first came to rescue, but with the help of her foster family she is learning love and trust.  

Katie is starting to trust and is enjoying treats and loving pets. Katie is nervous going for car rides. Once you get her in though, Katie does ride very well in the car. Katie's foster family says she is a sweetheart of a dog. Katie has been around a 5 year old child and been fine with him. A patient adopter willing to allow Katie time to get acclimated to her new home situation would be a better fit.

Katie completed heartworm treatment. She will need to be retested in 6 months. Potential adopters will speak with a member of our medical staff upon approval of your application to discuss retest prior to meet and greet. 

Katie’s adoption fee is $350 - which includes core vaccinations (age appropriate), microchip & spay/neuter at one of our contracted vets (if applicable)
