The first thing you will notice about Carter are his soulful eyes that will melt your heart when he looks at you. He is a gentle, loving boy who is very curious but a bit shy of new people and things. He LOVES to play with other dogs and will hoard all the toys in different spots of the room each day. He enjoys all types of toys. He has learned to sit and lay down. He is very scared of a leash and will not walk on one yet. He is working on his fears with his foster parents. So, he will need a home with a fenced in yard for now. That may change as he progresses with this training skill. He does well in the car but does have to be carried to it and put in like a baby! He likes his crate, dog beds and the couch. Carter is HW positive but currently has no symptoms. He will start his treatment at the end of the month. Our medical director will talk with potential adopters to answer any questions about the disease and treatment (treatment will be paid for by the rescue)

Colter’s adoption fee is $400 (Includes microchip, spay/neuter at one of our contracted vets (if applicable), and age appropriate vaccines)
