This handsome 7-month old, 35-lb gentleman is Tux! His striking good looks are just the first thing you’ll notice about him, but his charm and personality are what you’ll be left remembering. He is instantly best friends with everyone he meets, and melts into a puddle on the floor if you give him pets or scratches. Tux isn’t just a pretty and charming face though, he is also really smart! He has been working on basic manners and tricks at his foster home, and has already learned sit, paw, boop, down, and crawl! He is crate trained, sleeps in a crate without a peep, and is working toward potty training (which he is getting the hang of quickly). He is also working on basic manners at his foster home, because he is still a young boy who has a lot of puppy energy and likes to jump up and can play a little rough when he gets excited. Tux has been happy playing with the other dog in his foster home and is enjoying every minute of that. He has not yet been exposed to kids, however at this stage we feel he would be best in a family with older kids.  As Tux is still a big (35 lb) puppy, he could accidentally knock over or trip a smaller child when he is excited or jumping.  

The leash is also fairly new to him, but his skills are coming along nicely. Tux loves all things TOYS. Stuffy, squeaky, chewy, balls—he is a connoisseur of them all! He’s also a big fan of blankets, and will drag the ones he likes the most out of his crate and to other places in the house to lay on. As Tux is a puppy he will benefit from an adopter who will be committed to exercise , enrichment, future training and socialization, so this sweet boy can grow up into a great doggie adult!

Tux’s adoption fee is $400.00 and includes his completed wellness visit, age appropriate vaccines. He will be neutered on 2/28 and can go to his forever home a few days post-op.
