Hi! My name’s Edison. I’m a cute five ½ month old, introverted home body. The outside world can be scary to me. I prefer the comfort of home along with my dog homies where I can sit in a dog bed, play outside in a fenced backyard, swim in a puppy pool and enjoy snacks that my humans give out. I like hanging with my dog friends (I live with 4 of them) much more than the humans.  I came from a hoarding case, and I don’t really understand the need for human touch yet. I constantly have my eye on these foster parents of mine. Luckily, they understand that I need my space and time to build confidence and trust in them. I just don’t know what they are going to do to me. I mean really, I spend time in the same room with them, take treats nicely from their hands, pee outside rather than inside, I don’t bark, what more do they want? To make my foster mom happy, I have decided to slowly go up to her a few times a day and let her pet my head for a few seconds. That makes her crazy excited. I really love playing with other dogs, especially with the 2-year-old lab that lives here. I never leave her side and she’s okay with that. I don’t really want to go to a home with toddlers, as they will try to come at me or chase me, and that is horrifying to me. Older kids would be okay, if they understand I will need time to get to know them. When I was rescued, the vet noticed that my right back leg had an old injury to it. I get around and run just fine with it, but sometimes after a long day of hectic play, I will tend to limp a bit. Down the road, when I get older, I will need some supplements and eventually pain meds for arthritis that may build up. I am a happy guy who just needs an adopter who can love me from a far at first!
