Potty trained: No, but working on it.  Knows she should go outside and if taken out regularly has few accidents

Crate Trained: Sleeps in her crate but will whimper when first put in

Dog friendly: Yes, fostered with resident 40 lb dog

Cat friendly: Visited with a friend’s cat briefly, showed no interest in it

Kid friendly: Has not been around small children but expect her to be fine.  She’s very gentle and shows no aggression.  Puppy bites but not excessively.

Apartment/condo appropriate? Yes, as long as owner was committed to taking the dog outside regularly.  Ari loves to be outdoors

Appropriate for 1st time dog owners?: Yes

Current Energy level: Low to Medium

Require a fence?: Foster does not have a fence and she does not run away when outside playing.  She’s watched at all times while outdoors.

Training adopter needs to work on: All basic dogs training such as potty training, crate training, leash training, etc.

 

Ari is a sweet and gentle dog.  She loves to curl up in your lap and fall asleep or just relax.  She also loves to explore outside.  She’s intrigued by birds and squirrels and will make the sporting pose when one catches her eye.  She walks on a leash but prefers to choose which direction to walk herself.  She loves her people and would make an excellent addition to a family.

Ari will be ready to go to her forever home after her wellness vet appointment on June 11th. Please be sure you are available during that time frame & that all family members are on board, before applying.
