Welcome Miss Ellie.

Ellie is an approximately 2 year old, 42 lb, spayed lab mix.  Ellie came to us as a stray from down south.  The reports from Ellie’s foster mom are in, and this is what she has to say..

“Ellie is such a sweetheart! She is a little hesitant of others at first but warms up quickly! She loves to lay with you and will sometimes army crawl up to you to snuggle! Ellie gets along great with other dogs and loves to play! She loves her toys and chew bones. Ellie is also a good listener and is so close to getting the command “sit.”  Ellie is so gentle and such a happy dog! “

Ellie is crate trained & potty trained, she is a bit hesitant to enter at first  but with a little encouragement, she does great, she even sleeps there.  She is still learning that the blankets and pads inside are not for shredding or chewing.  Ellie has been working on perfecting her leash skills as well but walks on it nicely.   Ellie can be a little shy around strangers at first, it seems more so of men.  When given time and patience and understanding, she does  warm up.  She is learning that not all people are scary. All applicants must be committed to helping further her training and confidence.

Ellie’s ideal home would have a tall fenced in yard to let her run around and explore all that the family dog life has to offer or no fence at all.  Fences should be 6 foot plus, as this lady has proven she can jump high.  If she does not have a fenced in yard, Ellie’s forever family needs to be committed to making sure she gets long walks and lots of exercise. 

Ellie’s adoption fee is $350 - which includes core vaccinations (age appropriate), microchip & spay/neuter at one of our contracted vets (if applicable)
